It is my pleasure to talk about my summer vacation. I took a five days vacation last week, July 31 through August 4. According to our company policy, the five days summer vacation is taken during the same period from the last week of July to the first week of August and three days are paid and two day are unpaid. Unpaid means two days are replaced with the yearly vacation.
During every summer vacation I have always visited KangJu in Julla province with my family. KangJu is the hometown of my wife. I have three reasons to go on vacation to Kang Ju. First, My family don't often visit KangJu and say hello to my parents-in law. I'm sorry for my wife about that. Second My parents-in law wish to see my two sons. they are so pleased to see their grandsons. Third, the expenses for the vacation can be saved so much. We only cover the costs for fueling, eating and paying a toll to drive my car.
Something special for this summer vacation was that an elder brother of my wife joined us. He is a crew to go foreign. so It is very difficult to join us for the summer vacation. He joined us as well as payed all the costs during the vacation. I was thankful for his favor but on the other hand I'm sorry for him not to share the costs.
We went to some places to enjoy the vacation with his family, One place was Gusinpo swimming beach, near YoungKang, which is famous for a dried yellow corvina, called in korean as "굴비" in the west of jullaNamDo. Our children enjoyed swimming in the beach. Another place was the train village of Sumsin River, called in korean as "섬진강 기차마을“, located in the southerneast of the jullaNamdo. The old steam train was very impressive. We had a good time taking photos with the old steam train, having a sliced-raw sweetfish, called in Korean as "은어회” in lunch time. It was very delicious. Of course, the elder brother of my wife treated for lunch. And then we moved to the water of the stream in the valley near the train village. I lowered into the water of the stream in the valley so that I could be very cool.
This summer vacation was very enjoyable thanks to an elder brother of my wife and gave many happy memories to our children. Glory to God for granting me and my family the enjoyable summer vacation. That's all. Thank you for reading my story.
