Dear Sh. Elijah,

May the grace and the peace of God be with you!



I give you some news of Nantes UBF and our family. I finished my training at
MANPOWER since the end of September. I also finished my Training report, and
deposited it at my School to valid my diploma. I pray that my School can
validate my diploma without concern before the end of this year.



I started to seek an employment in "Human Resources Management". For the
moment I answered some job advertisements. I pray that God gives me wisdom
in the search for this new employment. I also fell under an association of
executives, which connects unemployed with the leaders of companies around
Nantes, and give assistance in research. I pray to find a job before the end
of this year.



By the grace of God we finished the study Matthew's Gospel. We studied "The
Lord's Prayer" like intermediate lesson between Matthew and Mark. This word
was powerful and all the participants in the Worship service (Christine,
Hyun-Semi and Yang-Jun) were moved in the tears by listening to this
message. We have just begun the study Mark's Gospel. In 1992, whereas I was
in great spiritual difficulty, God restored my heart and my faith with this
Gospel, until I decide to give my life for God. This Gospel was thus a
transformer power in my life. I pray that this time still, Mark's Gospel can
be a power in my life, and causes a revival in my faith.



We pray to organize a Bible Academy in November, 23-24. The title is "Jesus
welcomes the sinners". We want to listen 2 lessons: "Jesus came to call
sinners" (MT 9.1-13) and "the prodigal son" (Luc 15.11-32) It will be the
first Bible Academy in Nantes. We had wanted to have one last year, but we
had missed the faith. This year, we want to take up the challenge to invite
10 people to our first Bible Academy. We also pray for the collaboration of

Yang-Jun and Hyun-Mi started again the Bible Study after having made a small
break during the summer vacations. Since one and half month, Hyun-Mi attend
the worship service each Sunday with a voluntary heart. Yang-Jun also
started to take part in the worship service. Yang-Jun enters in second year
of PhD and Hyun-Mi prepares a Master at the University of Nantes. We pray
that this family puts the first place to God in their hearts. They have many
fears about their future. We pray that they can depend on God only for their
present and future life. We pray continuously to meet French sheep on the
campus of the University of Nantes. Misn. Christine already met some
students on the campus.



Our daughter Celeste (5 years old) began school (for the 3rd year) since one
and half month in "Great Section" (last year of children school). She
adapted very well to her new school. It is a private catholic school very
serious which is based on 4 fundamental principles establish by its fonder
in the 19th century: 1) Intellectual development; 2) Spiritual development;
3) Physical development; 4) Development of the sense of "Beautiful" (art,
painting,music,.). The children receive also an initiation to the Bible in
this school.



Thank you very much for your prayer for France and Nantes. I am really sorry
to not send you news more often. Misn. Christine is very grateful for the
Testimonies book of Dong-kyo Summer Bible Conference. She lent this book to
a Korean friend which was very moved. This friend formerly studied the Bible
with UBF in Korea 20 years ago with Misn. Hanna Shin (Czech). We have prayed
for her for 3 years. She is a very brilliant and able person. She did many
things in the world with the research of human glory and the recognition of
Men. But now, at 40 years, she finds that her life is meaningless. Because
also of much difficult events in her life lately, her heart became humbler
to think to God again. Misn. Christine helped her with prayer and the word
of God. Now, she wishes to change the orientation of her life by seeking
first the glory of God. She was registered at the University of Nantes from
this year to prepare a PhD in "Science of Education" for the glory of God.
She confessed that even if she left UBF, she never forgot that she received
the word of God in our church. She pray now to know the will of God to
collaborate in the Campus mission. Her name is Hun-Ju Pavageot (she is
married with a French). Thank you to pray for her too. She wants to take
part in the Bible Academy and already invited one friend.



We pray for you and Dong-Kyo UBF continuously. May God bless your message
each Sunday. May God establish continuously Dong-Kyo UBF as a sending
missionary centre. Great your family and coworkers for us.
